The ABLATE Study
The American Breast Laser Ablation Tracking Evaluation (ABLATE) study registry will track volunteers that undergo Novilase™ Interstitial Laser Therapy (ILT) for benign breast tumors.
Please consider joining the hundreds of women expected to participate in this study. You could contribute to the research efforts that may lead to new and improved breast cancer treatment techniques for millions of women worldwide.
Novilase™ and Novian Health
Novilase™ is a precise, minimally invasive procedure for treating breast tumors incorporated into The ABLATE Study. An alternative to lumpectomy surgery, Novilase™ uses heat from a laser to destroy (ablate) a tumor.

Intraoperative Radiation Therapy
Intraoperative Radiation Therapy, or IOERT, is a promising single dose radiation therapy for breast cancer delivered during surgery in contrast to the conventional six weeks of post-operative radiation therapy. A nationally recognized institutional review board has approved Dr. Gardner’s protocol to conduct an observational study. The Foundation is currently raising funds to purchase the needed equipment to commence the study. For further information on how you can participate in the study or help others to participate, contact our office at (561) 881-9100.

Veronesi Study
A recent European study, conducted by Dr. Umberto Veronesi, founder of the European Institute of Oncology, shows promising evidence that a single dose of IntraOperative Electron-Beam Radiation Therapy (IOERT) is equivalent to the traditional six-week course of External Beam Radiation Treatment (EBRT) in the effective treatment of breast cancer.
