I met Dr. Gardner and his team over 6 years ago on July 9, 2012 after being diagnosed with invasive, aggressive breast cancer. A friend at my employment recommended him. Dr. Gardner and his staff are skilled, experienced, and compassionate. I am a two time breast cancer survivor, Stage 3. I decided to make an appointment to discuss surgical options. From the day I met Dr. Gardner I knew without a doubt he would be my surgeon. I had so many questions and many decisions to make all concerning my life. Dr. Gardner was very patient with me, knowledable, and direct. I have always felt comforatable, safe, and 100% satisfied with all procedures he has performed. I had a bi-lateral mastectomy with no lymph node involvement, reconstruction, chemotherapy, and Herceptin treatment in 2012, I was cancer free. Thankfully, I listened to Dr. Gardner because I trusted him and kept all follow up appointments. As time marched on, I began to see him and his staff every three months. I live almost 100 miles away, the distance did not matter. Eighteen months after chemotherapy ended, in April 2014, during a follow up appointment, Dr, Gardner and Dr. Gardner’s assistant, Minty found cancer in lympnodes during an ultrasound. I did not have the fear I initially had back in 2012, because I knew without a doubt I was in the best hands I could be in. I had surgery again, a lymphadenectomy, with Dr. Gardner as my surgeon. Since then, more than four years later, I remain cancer free. I always say experience is the best teacher and certainly, Dr. Gardner is experiended! His staff have always been professional, friendly, compassionate, and thorough. I am forever grateful. My daughter and many friends now see Dr. Gardner and his staff routinely and are very satisfied like me!
